Crowned by Evita

Weekend was as usual- short and sweet! My Friday night was spent with Dr. House and the whole team! I am almost done with Season 6 yay!

Saturday was pretty hectic but fun! I went to my sister's house and visited my nephews. Then I went out to meet my blogger friends in Greenhills and off to Eastwood to meet up with Allan and his friends after dinner.

Here are some photos courtesy of Krissy and Ava! Thanks a lot girls!

Forgive the awkward smile!

I was looking forward to see Ana but she was too busy she didn't make it! I guess my sisters have to wait for their rings =) Shout out to you Anagon! Let's meet up soon! ;p

Too bad I didn't get to meet the other bloggers that came by before I got there. Until next time girls! <3

Have a great Monday bellas!

Meant To Stay

I woke up early to prepare for a breakfast date with friends. "Suddenly I see" by KT Tunstall playing in the background as I decide on what to wear. I pulled the skirt that I almost lost during the Bloggers' Closet event. Tried it on and had no second thoughts. Taking it back home from the BC event made me realize that it's really meant to stay.

So Kat and Ara showed up. Too bad Kiko didn't make it. It's nice to have breakfast with friends before going to work. It gives me the "Sex and the City" feel and today New York City is Eastwood City.

Ara and I sported our Anagon rings!

That's what I had...

Work is busy since month end is coming pretty fast. I am getting nervous because I have to take a certification exam real soon! I need lots of luck on that!

That's all I have this morning! It's going to be an unending day. Have fun today loves!

Above all what's really fun about the event was the chika in betweens =) I love hanging out the whole day getting to know the girls even more! And oh and I also got to meet Denise, she's a shopper and we found out she blogs too. Shoutout to you Denise! =)

A Much Deserved 2nd Chance

I was super disappointed to hear about the news about the beige suit with 2 labels.

I was in the Blogger's Closet event yesterday and a fellow blogger told me about this when she saw a cover up on my rack with a brand of “BOBON by Puey Quiñones”. Apparently I was the last to know about this scam and It felt really sad because I have always admired Puey!

I Googled this hoping that it's just hearsay and to my dismay it seems like it was all true...

Fashion designer involved in a 'fashion scam'?

MANILA, Philippines – A certain “fashion scam” has been among the hot topics on social networking sites Twitter and Facebook this week involving famous fashion designer Puey Quiñones.

This was after ABS-CBN’s Trip na Trip host Kat de Castro tweeted 3 days ago a photo of a double-labeled beige suit.

The photo which de Castro posted had a caption which reads: “The designer asked 30k for this suit. Pero bakit may Dansen tag? Sa SM ito di ba? Napeke kaya yung friend ko?”

According to the story by Kae Pickrell on StyleBible.Ph on Thursday, Jhon Maala, who happened to be de Castro’s friend, ordered a suit from Quiñones for his upcoming wedding. After several fitting sessions, the suit was finally delivered to him. It costs P30,000.

Maala, however, found out that the suit that was delivered to him carried 2 labels: "BOBON by Puey Quiñones" and "Dansen."

Haute couture

Dansen is one of the brands carried by the SM Department Store, an anchor store of Sy-led SM malls that try to reach a wide market.

Quiñones, on the other hand, is one of the elite fashion designers in town whose boutique provides haute couture and custom-made designs that fashion-conscious individuals usually turn to to dress them up for important events.

De Castro, in another tweet, said her “friend felt bad because it’s for the wedding.”

A few minutes later, De Castro said: “Designer update: He asked my friend to give back the Dansen suit but also give him time to create a new one. Wow. Wedding's less than 2 wks.”

BOBON’s official statement

After the photo circulated in the internet, BOBON immediately released a statement regarding the matter.

In their official Facebook account on Tuesday, BOBON clarified that they are “not in any involved in the design, production or sale of the suit in the photo, or the affixing of the “BOBON by Puey Quiñones.”

The statement further revealed that although they have worked with various Filipino designers in the past, they have ceased using the “BOBON by Puey Quiñones” label in 2008.

“We have no knowledge of how the label “Bobon by Puey Quinones” ended up in the suit in the Facebook post as we have used every effort to reclaim and destroy these old labels. We are certain that this suit was not purchased by the owner from or through BOBON. All BOBON pieces are sold exclusively at or through the BOBON store at The Podium and we have no record of this transaction,” they added.

Puey Quiñones’ statement

Meanwhile, according to StyleBible.Ph, Quiñones has already apologized to the couple in an official statement.

Quiñones said he “regret that all this happened.” He said he is sorry “for all the trouble that it has caused them (the couple).”

“I was simply pressured to create a suit and found a perfect blank canvas to develop. I know the entire situation could have been handled better but now it has just been blown out of proportion and affected so many others,” he said.

“To the couple who brought attention to this matter and to everyone else that have raised concerns over the quality of my service as a designer... I am sorry. I am doing all that I can to make sure that this does not happen again,” he added.

On Thursday, de Castro disclosed on her Twitter account that Quiñones vowed to give her friend a refund and that he already “went to another designer for help.”

... I guess this serves as a lesson to all designers. I really hope Puey earns everyone's trust back real soon. And yes I am ending this post by saying that I still love him and I wish him all the strength that he needs to get through this.

Post about the Blogger's Closet up next! =)

Happy And Steady

The following photos were taken from Eastwod mall and Stackers. I met up with some of my really good friends. We only get to see eachother once maybe twice a week and having breakfast has become a tradition already. We got tired of CBTL and tried something else. We talked about so many things. The morning was overflowing with good news. Kiko got a new job, Ara's mom bought her a condo, Dane got promoted and well, Kat and I are- steady lang haha! Happy and steady lol!

I had a hard time getting up super early because of the long "HOUSE" marathon the night before but I'm glad I made it. I wore the most comfy outfit I can grab from my closet because I had to run some errands too. It was a day well spent. There's no better way to start a busy day but to enjoy a great conversation over a decent meal with your best friends!

Thanks for the photos Kat! =)

Dane had to leave early bacause he needs to drop by his office to do something! I am not surprised that he got promoted again!

I am happy that Ara and I will be together on March for the "Timeless" shoot happening in Calibre Studios Makati! Will post about that up next! =)

Kiko and I will be together for the entire week. I was assigned in Makati and that's where he works now. I bet we'll have more POV sessions in the car on the way to work. =) Thanks a lot Kiks! This is the first time we'll ever be together on a work day! I'm excited!

Kat was pretty much the girl behind the lens the whole time. That's her stealing my food! haha! I love her she knows that! =p

We dropped by style lab and the following caught my eyes!

Ciao for now loves! Tomorrow is a new day! =)

See you on the 20th!

Sneak Peek!

Here's the poster that didn't make it. (Preview? haha!)

This was one of the things that I have been busy with yesterday besides having breakfast with some really good friends and meeting up with my sister and my nephew ealier in the day. I was also able to squeeze in a movie night with Allan! whew! I had a pretty long day. Too bad I had to cancel on a friend's invitation at 1pm because of some conflict in sched. Sorry Karen!

So anyway, I was fixing the clothes last night and Allan was in the house watching me. I kept asking him if he still remember when I used some of the dresses. I also quized him a little to check if he's bluffing.

So here's a sneak peek! I hope you guys find it as beautiful as I do. I am really hoping that they end up in good hands! We've had good times together! I will surely miss them!

Some blazers

I know I don't always wear a dress on most of my posts. But I'm also a dress girl.

Still undecided about selling this jumpsuit.

I ran out of hangers but there's more in the bag! That denim shorts with a Mickey Mouse patch is just LOVE! It fits medium-large. I was hoping I could get it altered but they said it may not look exactly the same! So sad I didn't get to use it...

But of course there will be some that you may have already seen...

See you all on the 20th! I am excited to see what the ladies have on their racks! =)
