You think It's A Cape?

The blue cape I'm wearing in this post is actually a wrap skirt. I love how the fabric fall perfectly as a skirt, dress, tube top and today I opted to use it as a cape. Just perfect for this bipolar weather!

Thanks to Randy Ortiz for coming up with such a versatile piece! I love how the color also added ooomph to the grayness of the outfit! =)

Skirt used as a cape and scarf- Randy Ortiz, striped top and gray shorts- Eastwood bazaar finds, Necklace- 101 new york, headband- Evita Peroni, rings- various, bag- Longchamp, wedges- urbanog.com

I went out to meet some friends and had lunch in Piadina. We don't see each other that often because we're all busy with work. We've been friends since college and now slowly and surely everyone is getting married and having kids. I'm happy that no matter what we still keep in touch.

That's one thing that we don't learn from text books- How to keep your friends for life! This may seem cheesy but yeah I'm sure we all lost a friend or two from the past. I lost some because they had to migrate to another country, some were lost because of different interests and some plainly because no one stayed in touch! I used to be too preoccupied with work and failed relationships in the past. Some people may have been busy being a mom or a wife. And while you're at it you don't really realize how easy it is to stay in touch. You feel like you don't have the time for a quick meet up or even make a call. I guess one of the things that I've learned through the years is that we don't have to wait for them to make that call. Right now I am thankful for having so many people around me that I consider as my real friends. I have different groups and tell me about how hard it is to celebrate my birthday---hey I'm not complaining! lol! No one taught me this and I am always thankful that slowly I am able to master that balance. I guess like everything else, it starts with a decision and in the end you'll be happy you made that call.

I'm blaming this mejo dramatic friendship post to Ava! I read her tweet just now about how grateful she is for her blog friends. I feel exactly the same about you guys! =)

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone! Ciao!

EDIT:

@herroyalbleakness: The photo below is the one babe. =)

  1. Ganda mo Aie, as usual! :)
I love friends! If there's anything that matters most to me, yun ay ang aking relationships. To hell with other things, talagang ultimate breakdown mode pag isyung pagkakaibigan na ang mapagdaanan--alamoyan! :)

Miss you and cant wait for our b-zaaar!

  2. I saw Ava's tweet too and it's more than fine for you to sound a bit mushy once in a while. I'm glad you have that beautiful mindset about friendship.

And that versatile piece looks so nice! Was it marketed as a 6-way piece? O ikaw lang nag gawa ng cape idea? So nice talaga.
