PENSHOPPE carries on its campaign to cross the international style threshold, and at the same time, to cater to its younger market, as it welcomes its new face, MARIO MAURER—one of Thailand’s hottest stars among his generation.
Maurer steps in as Penshoppe’s latest presentor, as recently confirmed by the line’s brand director Alex Mendoza. The 22-year-old actor and model takes off from the brand's international campaign, which was earlier led this year by British actor Ed Westwick of the popular series Gossip Girl.

Among the films that boosted Maurer’s name to public consciousness was The Love of Siam released in 2007. In his debut role, he played a conflicted teen who develops a romantic liking to his boyhood friend. His remarkable portrayal awed fans from the Philippines, winning a Best Actor award at the 2008 Cinemanila, an annually-held international film festival in the Philippines.

In 2010, Maurer also starred in First Love (Crazy Little Thing Called Love), a romantic-comedy which saw him garnering major acting awards, and assured him a spot as one of the region’s most sought-after stars.

Maurer, meanwhile, is expected to arrive in the Philippines this October to shoot the Penshoppe campaign with renowned Hollywood photographer Darren Tieste flying in from Los Angeles. The campaign is expected to grace magazine covers and billboards across the country. Meanwhile, fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet Mario Maurer as PENSHOPPE is set to host a Fan Conference for the Thai heartthrob. The gathering will be held on October 28, 2011 (Friday) 1PM at the PICC Plenary Hall in Manila (gates open at 11AM). The FanCon will be hosted by fellow Thai presenter VJ Utt with special live performance by pop Asian girl group Blush and co-presented by official media partner ABS CBN.

To avail entry, one must complete a stamp card promo available at all PENSHOPPE boutiques nationwide. Every P500.00 entitles the bearer to one (1) stamp. Completion of ten (10) stamps entitles access to the event and the bearer must submit the original completed stamp card at any PENSHOPPE outlet in exchange of the final entry pass.

Mechanics for the FanCon entry can be found on PENSHOPPE’s official Twitter and Facebook pages.

ps: If you haven't seen the movie "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" download it now. I'm glad I listened to a friend who recommended it. It's super cute and it was truly entertaining! =) Oh Mario let me be your "Nam" for a day!!!

Bloggers Dinner at Mango Tree Bistro

Last Wednesday I had dinner with my fellow bloggers in Greenbelt 5- Mango Tree Bistro. It was fun to just sit and enjoy a great conversation over some really good food.

What I wore...

Top from Archive Clothing, Shorts from SM, Shoes- Jessica Simpson Dany's

Necklace from 101 New York, key and feather necklace c/o Anagon, rings- from Jhajing and Anagon Collection

Some photos taken while waiting for the food.

The food that kept us quiet and happy lol!

One last photo before parting ways...

If you're craving for something Thai that's authentic I sincerely highly recommend Mango Tree Bistro. They also have a branch in Trinoma. And I've heard they have one in The Fort too! =)

Thanks a lot to Vern and Carina of Connect Agencie for the invitation! I can't wait to bring Allan there. He loves Thai food!

Signature Style, the exclusive distributor of Revlon Professional in the Philippines, introduces Revlon Professional’s Marrakech Collection. This is a new product line that captures the style, independence and modernity of today’s iconic woman. Formed by a mix of creativity, current and expertise, the versatile styles of the Marrakech Collection is sure to become the look on the street all over the world.

Revlon Professional’s rationale, “beauty is not exclusive, it needs the work of a good professional,” motivates its artistic team to relentlessly continue study and evolve by creating beauty for all women. Through the Marrakech Collection, Revlon Professional reveals the beauty of every woman by paying homage to the real, urban woman the woman who has the world at her feet.

Here are some photos from my Revlon Professional experience:

I was happy when I got a call from them saying I'm entitled to get a make over treat! I wanted to get my hair colored but obviously I needed hair treatment more so I opted to get a hair cut and treatment instead.

The scalp massage was just what I needed!

The place was jam packed by people from the press and media. I expected it to be more relaxing than it actually was. There were limited seats and the stylists seems to be in a rush.

I was happy to see Ava and Keigh there! It was also nice to finally meet Megan! Too bad I didn't get to take photos that much.

It was a relief to finally have the chance to get a hair treatment! I just wasn't so happy about the hair cut. My bangs got murdered! It was cut too short and now I have kindergarten bangs. Not to mention it was shorter on the other side. Now I can't even wear it down. =( I didn't bother to complain anymore because I know I can't have it back anyway. I just have to wait until it grows back. sigh!

Everyone was really very friendly and accommodating despite the super busy ambiance which made it even harder to complain about something I can't do anything about anymore. So I just wore my turban back to Port 88 bazaar. And because I was having such a great time selling and shopping at the same time I actually forgot about my bangs for a while. =)

Overall, I'm still thankful to have gotten a chance to get a make over treat by Revlon. Next time I'll probably just get a hair treatment or color instead of getting a hair cut.

I can't wait to try these!

I feel like I need a scalp massage every time I see my bangs in the mirror! lol! Thank goodness headbands and turbans were invented!

Port 88 - Day 2

Here's a quick post about my Port 88 experience.

Narration through photos...

I wore my turban to model the turbans I'm selling. I have more of different colors (plain) please watch out for it. I'll sell them here.

This photo was taken towards the end of the day. If you notice, my hair got shorter. That's because I went to Revlon Professional event. I'll share my experience on a separate post.

Manning the counter while trying on Anagon rings. =)

Aisa's sister. She's a doll!

Ana's busy tweeting. =) Can you spot me?

Hello there Ana!

Showing off my Anagon rings!. =p

I am inlove with Aisa's necklace.

How can I say no to 2 pairs for 1k? So weak! But I deserved it for all the hardwork don't I?

Cute no? I think it will also look good with socks.

Thanks to everyone who dropped by our booth. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts! My first Port88 experience as a seller was super! I will definitely join again. Bloggers united part 2 please come fast. =)
